Beginner-friendly Bottle gourd sabzi – easy, healthy & tasty!

Prepare the Bottle gourd (Lauki) Peel the Bottle gourd, wash it well, and cut it into medium-sized cubes.

Heat the oil Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds and a pinch of asafoetida (hing).

Add capsicum Add chopped capsicum (Shimla mirch) and sauté for 1–2 minutes until slightly soft.

Add spices Add turmeric powder and salt. Mix well.

Cook the Bottle gourd Add the Bottle gourd pieces and mix with the spices. Cover and cook on low flame for 10–12 minutes. Stir occasionally. Add a little water if needed.

Final touch When the Bottle gourd becomes soft, add a little garam masala. Cook for 1 more minute and turn off the heat.
